Originally from Argentina, Alejandro Espinosa is a highly-accomplished performer, composer, arranger, and educator. He holds a Master of Music from New York University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the City College of New York, both in jazz trombone.
With a passion for music that began at a young age, Alejandro has become a respected figure in the music industry. He regularly performs in and around New York City, showcasing his mastery in various genres including jazz, classical, latin, musicals and popular music.
In addition to his successful performing career, Alejandro is a dedicated music educator who has taught at both high schools and middle schools in the New York area, inspiring students of all ages to pursue their own musical aspirations.
His composition and arranging skills have also garnered critical acclaim, with his works performed by various ensembles including orchestras, jazz bands, and chamber groups.
Over the years, Alejandro has had the honor of playing and recording with numerous notable artists, such as Idina Menzel, André De Shields, Tonya Pinkins, Chris Potter, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Christian McBride, Michael Rodriguez, Mike Mainieri, Lenny Pickett and many others.
He has also studied under the tutelage of renowned trombonists such as Denson Paul Pollard, Demian Austin, Wycliffe Gordon, Marshall Gilkes, Michael Dease, David Taylor, Alan Ferber, Ed Neumeister and Jason Jackson, refining his craft and perfecting his technique.
